Now here's a question that's been bothering me recently, what with
the cold weather and all.
Does anyone know why it is that women almost invariably sit down
before removing their coat?
It seems to me to make the act of taking it off much more difficult
and yet 90% of you do it this way - men never do, but they on the
other hand are far more reluctant to give up their coat to be looked
after.

Any theories gratefully received

Simple. Women have handbags while men keep their worldly goods in their pockets which is why they won't give their coat up.

Women also probably think they look more glamorous in their coats so leave it to the last minute before relinquishing them.
